PMNET Forum - an international precision medicine networking forum - will take place in Riga. On October 12 and 13 of this year at the National Library of Latvia in Riga. More than 50 experts - including from Harvard University and countries and regions of the world such as the USA, Western Europe, Scandinavia, Israel and the Baltics - will meet to create cooperation in Precision Medicine with the medical ecosystem. The purpose of the forum is to improve patient care and outcomes by promoting the development and implementation of precision medicine in clinical practice. Over the course of two days, in-depth discussions will take place with the aim of developing international cooperation. Latvia positions itself as a country with a mission and a place to develop solutions to global problems. Precision medicine is a new approach to disease treatment and prevention that takes into account each person's genetic diversity, environment and lifestyle. During the forum, leading experts together with Latvian experts and representatives of patient organizations will discuss topics such as:

Representatives of the medical technology industry are also invited to participate to demonstrate the latest innovations in the field of medicine and big data. The forum is organized by Riga Stradins University, Children's Hospital Foundation, Children's Clinical University Hospital, Latvian Children’s Oncology Fund, Ministry of Economics, Ministry of Health, Latvian Investment and Development Agency and patient organizations - Rare Disease Alliance, Onco Alliance, Alliance for Men's Health, etc. in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development, Latvian Biomedical Research and Study Center, American Chamber of Commerce in Latvia, University of Latvia, Riga Stradiņš University, Riga Technical University, Riga Eastern Clinical University Hospital, Paula Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital. The forum is supported by Novartis, EUSA Pharma, Illumina and Roche.
Doctors, geneticists, molecular biologists, bioinformaticians, scientists, family doctors, health care support and administrative staff, data scientists, residents, students, patients, as well as representatives of state institutions, diplomats and NGOs are invited to attend the forum free of charge. Representatives of patient organizations are also specially invited.
The event is implemented in cooperation with the European Regional Development Fund project 1.2.1.2.
