Latvian national standardisation body — the Standardisation Bureau (LVS) operates in the International Standardisation Organisation (ISO), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), European Committee for Standardisation (CEN) and European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardisation (CENELEC).
Latvian national accreditation body — the Latvian National Accreditation Bureau (LATAK) is a full-fledged member of the European Cooperation for Accreditation (EA) and signed EA Multilateral Recognition Agreement in 2002.
Latvian national metrology body — the Metrology Bureau (LATMB) represents Latvia in the European Association of National Metrology Institutes — EURAMET; International Organisation of Legal Metrology — OIML, and European Cooperation in Legal Metrology — WELMEC. LATMB has signed the Mutual Recognition Agreement with International Committee for Weights and Measures (CIPM).
