The jury of Baltic Startup brand ranking has announced the top 10 Baltic startups to battle it out for the Grand Prix. Six of those come from Latvia: Printify, Nordigen, Gamechanger Audio, Giraffe360, Lokalise, CastPrint. Two Estonian startups – Veriff and HUGO.legal – have also made it into top 10, and two on the list are from Lithuania – Eddy Travels and MoQ. Altogether nearly 100 startups applied for the Baltic Startup brand ranking.
The top Baltic startups will pitch their brands to the jury in a pitch session on Startup Day, September 12, at Minox Event Space in Riga. Their stories will be heard and evaluated by representatives of Ministries of Economics and startup associations from each Baltic country, as well as investors and accelerator representatives. The pitch session will be streamed live and available to anyone interested – from 13.00 on the LMT Straume streaming service, Baltic Brands Facebook page, as well as the respective Delfi news portals of all three Baltic countries.
A popular vote will also be conducted on Delfi portal in all three Baltic countries from September 24 to October 2. The winners of the brand ranking and the popular vote will be announced on October 3 at the Baltic Brands 2019 award ceremony taking place at Hanzas Perons in Riga. The winners of the Baltic Startup brand ranking will receive an ad budget worth € 10,000, provided by OMD, Delfi, Httpool and DDB Latvia. The Baltic Startup brand ranking in all its entirety will be published on October 3 on balticbrands.eu.
„While evaluating the applications from startups this year it’s clear that the range of companies is broad. Although we would like to see more application activity from startups, we have also observed that many companies think on an international level since day one to offer their services to as many customers as possible. We are also delighted that this year for the first time startups are evaluated on a Baltic level,“ says Maksims Jegorovs, the head of IT company Accenture in Latvia.
Baltic Startup brand ranking is a collaboration between DDB Consulting and main partner Accenture Latvia. It is the only ranking of its kind in the Baltics, and this is the first time it is conducted on a Baltic level. It aims to discover and promote new and promising Baltic brands.
Startup brand ranking is part of Baltic Brands 2019, previously locally known in Latvia as Most Loved brand ranking, compiled on an annual basis since 2004 and serving as an important point of reference for insights into consumer attitude.
