11/09/2017 - The latest OECD Economic Survey of Latvia, to be published on Friday 15 September,analyses the factors behind Latvia’s robust economic growth, as well as the challenges remaining to bring about greater income convergence with more advanced economies and reduce poverty. The Survey discusses Latvia’s progress on its structural reform priorities as well as budgetary and tax policies. It lays out strategies for boosting productivity, increasing employment, making growth greener and ensuring better access to economic opportunities for all. Special chapters in the Survey discuss the need to improve export performance, through better participation in global value chains, and how improved access to health services, housing, jobs and transport can make growth more inclusive.
The Survey will be available to registered journalists on the OECD's password-protected website at 06:30 GMT on Friday 15 September for immediate release.
OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría will present the Survey in Riga during a press conference with Latvian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economics Arvils Ašeradens at 9:30 local time (6:30 GMT) at the Hotel Radisson Blu Latvija, Conference Hall Beta 2, 3rd Floor (Elizabetes iela 55, Centra rajons, Rīga, LV-1010, Latvia).
