There are already existing examples of collaboration between industrial players of UAE and Latvia - a Latvia-based digital health startup Longenesis partnered with M42 Health to support genomics research on a National level with the help of consent management and participant engagement solutions developed by Longenesis. With its tools Longenesis has been supporting the UAE national genome initiative “The Emirati Genome Programme” since 2020, engaging more than 500 000 citizens across the UAE thus far. By 2025 the project expects to engage over 1 million citizens and become the world's largest data biobank. Such examples of collaboration can be used as a foundation for scaling partnership in the biomedical sector between the UAE and Latvia.
