The Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) invites to the Baltic Green Innovation Forum on June 15, 2016. The event will give an in-depth insight into “green” technologies, their funding and implementation opportunities, as well as gather experts from Baltic countries and Norway to seek inspiration and new cooperation partners.
“Green” innovation is not just a fashion slogan but also one of sustainability tools. Norway Grants represent one of those tools contributing to development of “green” products and technologies in the Baltics.
The forum will provide an opportunity to learn about trends and already achieved in “green” innovations in the Baltics, inform about funding opportunities, share experience and help finding new inspiration in exciting stories told by foreign speakers.
Among speakers of the Forum there will be Indrė Klimantavičienė (Chief Official at Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania), Marit Sall (Climate Launchpad Competition National Lead for Estonia by Startup Estonia/Development Fund), Tor Mühlbradt (Special Advisor, Innovation Norway) and Tālis Juhna (Vice-Rector for Research at Riga Technical University). The keynote speaker Idar Kreutzer (CEO of Finance Norway) will present “green” competitiveness and responsible “green” funding, including green technologies.
Two parallel sessions will host a discussion about investment attraction for “green” entrepreneurship and cooperation opportunities among Baltic and Norwegian entrepreneurs, as well as present company success stories from countries represented at the event. The participants will also get information about funding opportunities for new projects.
In addition, the companies are able to apply for B2B meetings to present their ideas and to initiate discussions on possible future cooperation. It is expected, a number of Norwegian companies will attend the event to find new partners in the Baltics.
Baltic Green Innovation Forum will take place at the Academic Centre of Natural Sciences of the University of Latvia (Jelgavas Street 1, Riga) on June 15, 2016. The entrance is free, and working language – English. The translation will not be provided. Please apply by June 1, 2016 at www.liaa.gov.lv
