At the extraordinary meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on 29 March amendments have been made to order No.103 of the Cabinet of Ministers of 12 March 2020 “Regarding the announcement of the emergency situation” with a view to ensuring greater physical distancing between people, including clarifying the duties of traders and updating the list of trading places which may operate in trading centres on weekends and holidays.

The CM order contains restrictions for persons which also apply to presence in trading and public catering places. The CM order provides that in any public place (both indoor and outdoor), i.e. at any trading place, persons shall keep a two-metre distance from others, as well as take all epidemiological safety measures. The CM order provides that no more than two persons; persons living in the same household; parents and their minor children, if they do not live in the same household; persons carrying out work or service duties may gather together in public indoor and outdoor areas at the same time without keeping a 2-metre distance.

At the same time, CM instructed the Minister of Economics to determine the number of persons who may be present at a trading place at the same time. On Monday, March 30, amendments were made to order No.1-6.1/2020/51 of the Ministry of Economics of 20 March 2020 “Regarding the Ensuring of Social Distancing at Public Catering Facilities” obliging traders to organise the control of the flow of visitors, ensuring that no more than 1 visitor per 4 m2 of the area of the trading space is present at the trading place at the same time. At the same time, traders should ensure social distancing measures at the entrance to the trading place (applies both public indoor and outdoor spaces) preventing crowding and ensuring a 2 m distance between visitors. In addition, we urge traders to take care to the extent possible that customers can keep a 2 metre distance in the territories adjacent to the trading place, for example, at parking lots, and to inform about the need to keep a 2-metre distance.

We remind that the state and municipal police carry out supervision and control of the requirements set for traders in the trading venues and in the places of organising trade.
